DHAKA, Oct 16, 2024 (BSS) – Additional Inspector General of Police Md Motiur Rahman Sheikh has joined the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as its chief.

Motiur, formerly a deputy inspector general in the CID, has been appointed as the chief of the agency following his promotion.

The Home Ministry issued a gazette notification to this end today.

After taking charge of the CID as its chief, Motiur joined an introduction meeting with its officers and employees and instructed them to work accordingly, said a press release of the CID.
