DHAKA, Oct 17, 2024 (BSS) - The government has appointed 454 legal officers in different courts in Chattogram and Sylhet.

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued two notifications in this regard, said a ministry press release today.

Of the total prosecutors, 351 have been appointed at the courts in Chattogram while the remaining 103 in Sylhet.

Government Prosecutors (GP), additional government prosecutors, assistant government prosecutors, public prosecutors (PP), additional public prosecutors, special prosecutors and assistant public prosecutors are among the law officers.

The government through the notifications appointed the new legal officers cancelling the previous appointments in the District and Sessions Judge Court, Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court and their subordinate courts, Divisional Special Judge Court and various tribunals in the two districts.
