Jamaat to build discrimination free, justice based humanitarian Bangladesh: Ameer

DHAKA, Oct 17, 2024 (BSS) – Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami  Dr Shafiqur Rahman today said Jamaat-e-Islami wants to make a humanitarian Bangladesh which will be free from injustice, discrimination and unemployment.

“We want to build a Bangladesh where justice will be established according to the law of Allah and no people will face any discrimination. No more youths will have to commit suicide due to the curse of unemployment,” Dr Shafiqur Rahman told a rally at Wazir Ali Central Eidgah at Jhenaidah today.

Jamaat Ameer said, “The youths will be working to build the nation. We will not let any youth remain unemployed.  No people will have to give bribes for getting a job as they will employment  based on his/her qualifications.”

Jamaat Ameer urged the interim government to break the syndicates responsible for price hikes of essential commodities saying, “Take all the necessary initiatives required to give people  peace and happiness . Do the desired and required reforms …36 crore hands of people will come forward to help you”, he added.

Recalling the torture and suppression by the ousted Awami League government, Shafiqur Rahman said the Sheikh Hasina led government turned the country into a ‘Shoshan Bangla’ in guise of building ‘Sonar Bangla’ and they gifted people dead bodies of their beloved persons along with shedding blood across the country.

“In 2017, I was given a notice to leave the city when I came here to visits a martyr’s family..I was not a thief, not a robber or a godfather,” he said, adding, “We all know what had been happening across the country in these years during their regime.”

They have taken away 11 of our top leaders by killing them through kangaroo courts with fabricated witnesses, Jamaat Ameer said adding, “We have filed a case in the court of the Almighty Allah. We don't know whether we can see the trail of these killings.”

Dr Shafiqur said, “We could not go to our offices. We couldn’t even have a chat with 4/5 people together. Father and son were taken away by law enforcers while having lunch saying, he mentioned. Now the ousted forces are hatching conspiracies against the country , Dr Shafique added.

“They have taken away our registration and symbol illegally an  finally banned  our party on August 2 amid the countrywide student-led mass movement. However, within 4 days, the almighty took them down,” said Jammat Ameer.

Chaired by Jamaat Jhenaidah District Ameer Professor Ali Azam Md. Abu Bakr, the rally was also addressed by Jamaat central executive council member Mubarak Hossain, Central Majlis-e-Sura member Maulana Matiur Rahman, Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Islamic University unit President HM Abu Musa and Jhenaidah District Chhatra Shibir President Moniruzzaman.

 Jammat Jhenaidah District secretary Professor Abdul Awal conducted the rally.
