DHAKA, Oct 18, 2024 (BSS) - Sujaur Rashid, father of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) sports section in-charge Raschida Afzalun Nessa, passed away at a city hospital early today (Friday).

He was 89.

Family sources said Sujaur Rashid breathed his last around 1 am while undergoing treatment at city’s Samorita Hospital.

He left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters, grandson, granddaughter, relatives and host of well wishers to mourn his death.

He has been buried at Banani graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza at Purana Paltam Jame Mosque after Jummah prayer today.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) in separate messages expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Sujaur Rashid and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
