DHAKA, Oct 20, 2024 (BSS) – BNP Acting Chairman and Main Patron of 'Amra BNP Paribar' Tarique Raman has taken the responsibility for treatment of street children who were injured in Dhaka during the mass uprising.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi met several street children in the capital's Gulistan this afternoon on behalf of Tarique Raman and conveyed the message of taking overall responsibility for their treatment, a press release said.
During the student-led mass movement, street children also took to the streets against the autocratic Sheikh Hasina government in various parts of the capital, the release added.
In the anti-fascist mass movement, many children including Suman, Ibrahim, Hriday and Brishty were injured in the firing by the police.
In the presence of Rizvi, child Suman was given a mobile phone to inquire about the treatment of injured street children regularly.
Convener of 'Amra BNP Paribar' Atiqur Rahman Rumon, its Member Secretary Moksedul Momin Mithun and members Masud Rana Liton, Mustaqeem Billah, Farhad Ali Sajib, Shakil Ahmed, Rubel Amin and Shahadat Hossain were present.
BNP Assistant Publicity Secretary Asadul Karim Shaheen, Vice-President of Swechchhasebak Dal Dr Zahidul Kabir,
Jubo Dal leader Tauhidur Rahman Awal, Swechchhasebak Dal leader Arifur Rahman Tushar, Chhatra Dal Vice President Habibul Bashar and its Joint Secretaries Hasnain Nahian Sajeeb and Hasanur Rahman were also present, among others, on the occasion.
