DHAKA, Oct 20, 2024 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic
Division has filed a total of 1,263 cases and realised Taka 50,70,000 as fine
in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.
This information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines on
October 19 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.
During the drive, a total of 125 vehicles were impounded and 55 others towed.
The DMP information further said the drive will continue to bring discipline
on Dhaka's streets.
