DHAKA, Oct 21, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at different places across the country during next 24 hours commencing from 9 am this morning.

“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions,” said BMD latest weather bulletin this morning.

It said rain or thundershowers show is likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram division. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, while day and night temperature may rise by (1-2) degree Celsius over the country, the bulletin added.

According to the bulletin, the country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 34.5 degree Celsius at Feni in Chattogram division and minimum temperature was recorded 19.0 degree Celsius at Tetulian in Rangpur division.

No maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded.
