CSE Fest held at Begum Rokeya University

RANGPUR, Oct 21, 2024 (BSS) - The CSE Fest 2024 was held today at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) amid festivities to inspire students to promote innovation, technological advancement and creativity.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) organised the event at the academic building-2 on the campus, said a press release.
Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Shawkat Ali inaugurated the festival by cutting a ribbon as the chief guest.

The CSE students demonstrated project showcasing as well as gaming contests and organised indoor games, inter-departmental programming contests, prize distribution and cultural events.

The vice-chancellor visited different technology exhibits developed by the students of the Department of CSE.

Earlier, a colorful rally led by the vice chancellor paraded the main roads of the campus.

The vice chancellor said that new innovations and technologies are making people's daily lives easier in an unimaginable way.

 "We should not be left behind in the age of modern technology . . . we should move ahead technologically keeping pace with the world," he said, urging the students to be more efficient in technical education.

Acting Registrar of the university Professor Dr Md Tajul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Head of Department of CSE and Director of the Office of the Student Affairs Dr. Md. Ileas Pramanik and Proctor Dr. Md. Ferdous Rahman attended the function.
