DHAKA, Oct 21, 2024 (BSS)- Amir of the Islamic Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) and Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim has demanded roadmap of next parliamentary election.
 
“The countrymen want the government to declare roadmap of Jatiya Election,” he told a roundtable discussion organized by IAB at BMA Bhaban here today.

In a written statement Razaul Karim said, the last government has destroyed all important institutions of the state. So, it’s important how much time the interim government will take for reforming those institutes.”

“IAB hopes the interim government very quickly will declare the process of the reformation and its timeframe and the roadmap of the national election,” he said.

The IAB Amir said, as a responsible political party the IAB wants to cooperate with the government to create congenial political atmosphere and rebuilding the economy.

He also demanded the government to bring the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her cohorts to book, removal of their followers from different tires of the administration and declare them disqualify for the next election.

BNP vice-chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu, Advocate Md. Joynal Abedin, IAB presidium member Syed Musaddiq Billa Al Madani, secretary general Yunus Ahmad were present at the press conference. Islamic Andolan Bangladesh joint secretary general Gazi Ataur Rahman conducted the roundtable discussion.
