DHAKA, Oct 22, 2024 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in several anti-drug raids arrested 11 people and filed cases on charges of selling and consuming drugs during the last 24 hours till 6am today.

The law enforcers carried out the drives simultaneously in different parts of the metropolis from 6am of October 21, according to a DMP press release.

 In separate anti-drug raid, police seized huge drugs from them. 

During the raids, police seized 54 pieces of contraband yaba tablets, 1.70 kilograms of cannabis (ganja), 1.70 grams of heroin and five bottles of phensidyl syrup from them. 

Police filed 11 separate cases against the arrested with respective police stations under the Narcotics Control Act.

The DMP release further said these drives against drugs peddlers and drugs will continue.
