DHAKA, Oct 22, 2024 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) today gave four water rescue boats and relevant equipment to the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) to enhance its capacity to douse flame in river routes and carry out rescue operations.

FSCD Director (operations and maintenance) Lt Col Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury received the boats and equipment on behalf of his organization’s Director General from DNCC’s Urban Resilience Project (URP) Project Director Arifur Rahman at a function at the boatyard of the boat producing organisation Golden Fiber Glass, Bandar, Narayanganj, this afternoon.

Speaking at the function, FSCD Director (operations and maintenance) Lt Col Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury said the DNCC URP Project gave the FSCD four rescue boats today in continuation of their support of providing fire distinguishing and rescue equipment, said a FSCD press release.

He greeted the DNCC on behalf of his organization.
