DHAKA, Oct 23, 2024 (BSS) - Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin has asked the officials of Bangladesh Missions abroad to serve the expatriate community with utmost care and sincerity.
He made the directive while speaking at a meeting with the officers and staff members of the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Dubai on Tuesday, a foreign ministry’s press release said here today.
The Foreign Secretary underlined the importance of providing more efficient and effective services to the service seekers by leveraging automation.
Jashim also highlighted the potential for boosting trade and investment between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He encouraged the missions in the oil-rich nation to explore and foster investment opportunities from the host country to further strengthen Bangladesh-UAE bilateral relations.
The foreign secretary also highlighted the recent students' movements in Bangladesh, calling on everyone to work together to achieve the nation’s collective dreams.
He stated the goals and objectives of the interim government, including the reforms being undertaken in various sectors, noting that it is working tirelessly to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Consul General in Dubai, Md. Rashedujjaman briefed the Foreign Secretary on the Consulate General’s current and future activities while Charge d'Affaires of the Bangladesh Embassy in Abu Dhabi Muhammed Mizanur Rahman was present.
