UN Military Peace Keeping Intelligence Course-2024 held in city 

DHAKA, Oct 24, 2024 (BSS) - The closing ceremony of the United Nation Military Peace Keeping Intelligence (UNMPKI) Course-2024 was held at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operations Training (BIPSOT) in Rajendrapur Cantonment here today.

Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bangladesh Irma Van Dueren was present as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the UNMPKI course, said a press release of Inter-Services Public Relations. 

The ‘Train the Trainer course’ was conducted as a pilot course from October 6 to 24, 2024.

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, the Netherlands envoy said apart from making an effective contribution to establish world peace, the members of Bangladesh Armed Forces Division are working together with friendly countries to ensure regional peace and stability as well.

She also expressed his gratitude to all concerned, including BIPSOT and Bangladesh for completing this course in a successful and smooth manner.

Acting Commandant of BIPSOT, high-tanking  military officers of the armed forces division, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bangladesh Police and foreign ministry , senior civil, military and paramilitary officials, and representatives of different media were, among others, were present there.

Funded by the Netherlands government, a total of seven related courses will be conducted from 2024 to 2027 for the countries usually send troops to the UN Peacekeeping Mission in the Asia Pacific Region, it said.
