DHAKA, Oct 24, 2024 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Tahura Begum Tripti, mother of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS)’s chief reporter Mursalin Nomani.
In a condolence message, the BNP leader said “I am also deeply shocked like her family members due to the death of Tahura Begum as she was respected to all for her identity as a ‘Mother of Jewels’ and also a well known educationist.”
Tahura Begum, a former union council member of reserved women seat of Singhjuli union of Chowgacha upazila under Jasshore district, according to a party release here today.
The BNP leader also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to her bereaved family members.
Former Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) president Mursalin Nomani’s mother Tohura Begum Tripti died of kidney ailments at her elder son residence in the capital in the early hours of today at the age of 75.
