CHATTOGRAM, Oct 24, 2024 (BSS) - Detective Police (DB) detained former Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Mustafa Kamal Uddin from Lalkhan Bazar area of Chattogram city this afternoon.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman of Media and Public Relations Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) told media that "Mustafa Kamal Uddin was arrested by DB police from Chattogram city today."

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) sources said that after the arrest, the former bureaucrat Mstafa Kamal Uddin is being taken to Dhaka.

He was accused in a number of cases in various police stations in Dhaka, the sources said but could not confirm in which case he was arrested.

Police held Mustafa Kamal following an instruction from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). He will be handed over to DMP following legal procedure, the sources added.
