DHAKA, Oct 25, 2024 (BSS) - A team of the Bangladesh Army has arrested one more person at Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar in connection with the murder of Lt Tanjim Sarwar Nirjon.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Bangladesh Army conducted a drive in the Rangmahal area of Chakaria around 10:30am today and arrested Kamal Uddin Prokash, 35, said an ISPR press release.
 
During primary interrogation, the arrestee confessed to the killing of Tanjim. He was handed over to Chakaria police station.

So far, a total of 12 people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Tanjim.

On September 24, Lt Tanjim Sarwar Nirjon, 23, was stabbed to death during a drive in Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar.

Later, the army filed a case with Chakaria Police Station in connection with the murder.
