32 people injured during July uprising get financial assistance

SAVAR, Oct 27, 2024 (BSS) - Thirty-two people, who are now undergoing treatment at the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed in Savar, after being injured during the anti-discrimination student movement, received financial assistance.

 July Shaheed Smriti Foundation today provided the assistance amounting to Taka one lakh for each person.

Executive Officer of the Foundation, Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha, said the Foundation is committed to providing assistance to each injured individual and families of the martyrs who were killed during the student-led uprising.

A total of Taka 32 lakh has been distributed among the injured people. Of the beneficiaries, 27 people received the assistance through bKash, while five received cheque, Snigdha said.
