RAJSHAHI, Oct 28, 2024 (BSS) - Prof SM Abdur Razzaque has joined Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) here today as its new Vice-chancellor (VC).

On October 27, he was given appointment as RUET VC as per order of the President and Chancellor of the university.

Prior to the new assignment, Prof Razzaque was working as a teacher in the department of electrical and electronics engineering at RUET since 1999.

Earlier, he obtained his B.Sc Engineering in 1995 and M.Sc Engineering degrees in 2007 from RUET in addition to Masters of Engineering and PhD from Raucous University in Japan in 2007 and 2010 respectively.

Born in a respectable Muslim family in Bhulbaria village under Shingra Upazila of Natore district, Prof Razzaque bagged a number of awards at home and abroad in recognition of his laudable contribution to the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
