Rizvi demands bringing cohorts of fascist to book 

DHAKA, Oct 28, 2024 (BSS)- Senior Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed today said it is the duty of the interim government to try the cohorts of fallen autocratic regime.

He said this while distributing leaflet for raising awareness against aedes mosquito prevalence at capital’s Azimpur area.

Speaking on current political issue Rizvi said complexity or crisis should not be created over the issue on President’s resignation.
 
“This is not a major issue now. We have ousted Sheikh Hasina. Now it is our duty to try her cohorts,” he said.

The BNP spokesperson said the contribution of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will be written in golden letter in history of Bangladesh.

“We should not do anything emotionally that can go beyond constitution,” he said.

Rizvi said the people now can breathe afresh following the success of the student-led mass uprising.

“We all have to remain alert so that the mass movement doesn’t go in vain due to any exaggerated activity of us. Because, Sheikh Hasina and her shelterer are not sitting idle,” he said.

BNP’s Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Youth Affairs Secretary Mir Newaz Ali Newaz, party’s Dhaka City South Unit Convener Rafiqul Alam Majnu, Member Secretary Tanvir Ahmed Robin and BNP leader Ishraq Hossain were present.
