Shishu Paribar gets PC, water kits from KOICA

DHAKA, Oct 26, 2024 (BSS)- Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Bangladesh Office has donated different ICT materials including Desktop computer and water purifying kits at  Sarkari Shishu Paribar Tejgaon.

The materials were distributed in partnership with the Korea Bangladesh Alumni Association (KBAA) for the use of the orphan girls living in the state-run children home in the capital.

Established in 1978 under the social welfare ministry, the Sarkari Shishu Paribar (Girls) at Tejgaon has long been providing care to orphan girls.

KOICA donated 10 desktop computers, tables, two speakers and five water filters, revitalizing the Shishu Paribar’s previously non-functional computer lab and equipping it with essential digital resources, said a press release.

The support would help enhancing digital literacy and improve healthcare services of the inmates of the Shishu Paribar, ensuring access to safe drinking water.

KOICA’s Deputy Country Director, KBAA’s president and board members, and representatives from the social services division of the social welfare ministry were present.
