DHAKA, Oct 31, 2024 (BSS) - Mahmooda Khanam, mother of Business Desk in-charge of the national news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Golam Moin Uddin, died of old-age complications in a city hospital in
the early hours of today.

She was 79.

Mahmooda, who had been suffering from pneumonia and old-age complications, breathed her last at 1.04am today while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the city hospital.

She is survived by two sons, two daughters, a host of relatives and well wishers.

The first Namaz-e-Janaza of the deceased will be held at Boro Station Mosque in Satpai area in Netrakona district town this morning.

She will be laid to rest at the family graveyard at Baghrua village in Netrakona Sadar upazila beside her late husband Kamar Uddin Ahmed's grave following her second namaz-e-janaza after Zohr prayers.
