DHAKA, Oct 31, 2024 (BSS) – Police with a team of Army arrested 13 people in connection with looting attempt from city’s Dhanmondi area.

A media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that a team of Dhanmondi Police with the help of the  members of Bangladesh Army arrested them while trying to forcefully enter in a house in Dhanmondi at night by creating chaos and anarchic situation for looting on Wednesday around 11pm.

The arrested are Md Hasibul Hasan (33), Md Golam Morshed (32), Mahmudul Hasan Shimul (20), Abu Saleh Hiran (26), Rubel Howlader (27), Azizul Islam (21), Mahfuzur Rahman (26), Mostafizur Rahman (26), Yasin Arafat (20), Md Ibrahim (19), Jihad Hossain (19), Abdullah Al Mamun (16) and Sheikh Shahriar Ahmed (16).

At that time, five iron rods and five bamboo sticks were seized from their possessions.
