DHAKA, Nov 2, 2024 (BSS) - Airport Police Station arrested a total of 78
professional snatchers from the city's airport areas in the month of October.

A media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today said that the police
station arrested the snatchers during the month while they were trying to
snatch the valuable belongings of pedestrians and foreign-bound passengers in
various areas under the police station, including the airport roundabout
areat.

It said special teams of airport police station conducted regular operations
in various places under its jurisdiction, including the roundabout area, to
prevent snatching.

According to the release, almost every one of the arrested has multiple cases
in different police stations of the DMP.
