DHAKA, Nov 04, 2024 (BSS) - After the basic training of the ‘Recruit Batch-2024’ of the Bangladesh Army completed the 'Army Chief Parade' at the 'Formation Ad Hoc Recruit Training Center (FARTC)' at Dighinala Cantonment of Khagrachhari.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 24 Infantry Division and Area Commander Chittagong Area Major General Mir Mushfiqur Rahman attended the ceremony as the chief guest and also took salute at the parade, said an Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR) release this evening.
On the oath-taking ceremony, total 758 recruits imparted their ‘Basic Training and Army Chief Parade’ through which the young soldiers were inducted as members of the Infantry Regiment of the Bangladesh Army, the release said.
The chief guest awarded mementos to six young soldiers for their outstanding performance with displaying the best skills in the training filed, the ISPR added.
Senior military and civil officers of Khagrachari area, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), soldiers of other ranks and invited guests and recruits’ family members, among others, enjoyed the parade.
