DHAKA, Nov 08, 2024 (BSS) - Biman Bangladesh Airlines has offered free ticket to a student critically injured during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The ticket facilitated his travel by the national flag carrier from Dhaka to Bangkok, Thailand, for advanced medical treatment, according to a press release issued by Biman today.
The student, identified as Nabil Ahmed, was transported from Dhaka to Bangkok on a stretcher on Biman's BG-388 flight on Thursday under special arrangements for advanced treatment, it said.
Due to his illness, he was given special handling at both Dhaka and Bangkok airports, said the release.
Ahmed sustained serious injuries during the students-led protests, which escalated into a mass uprising. He had been receiving treatment at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka after being shot during the demonstrations.
