Financial assistance was given to each family of 10 martyrs in Magura including the family of Shaheed Rabbi and family of one injured person, said a press release.
BNP treasurer and 'Amra BNP Paribar' adviser M Rashiduzzaman Millat was present as the chief guest in the views exchange programme at Barunatail village of Magura municipality and Atiqur Rahman Rumon, convener of 'Amra BNP Paribar' and member of BNP media cell was present as the special guest.

On August 4 during the mass movement, Mehedi Hasan Rabbi was in the front row of the procession to ensure the safety of the protesting students, said the release.
In that procession, Rabbi, senior joint convener of Magura District Chhatra Dal, was shot dead as Chhatra League and Jubo League terrorists opened fire on the procession.
During the incident at least 20 people were injured, including Khalid Biswas, the nephew of Rabbi.
Rabbi was a son of late Mayen Uddin Biswas of Barunatail village. His wife Rumi Khatun and younger brother Idris Hossain Biswas claimed that Rabbi was killed not in police firing rather in firing of leaders and activists of the Chhatra League-Jubo League.
The release said Rabbi got married in May this year. Within only few months after marriage, he had to embrace martyrdom in the mass uprising of July-August. When Rabbi died, his wife Rumi Khatun was an expectant mother.
It is irony that the unborn child will grow up without getting love and affection from his father after birth in one hand, on the other the baby would grow up knowing that his father was a martyr in the democratic movement against tyranny.
The sacrifice of Rabbi in the fight to establish a fair political environment and democracy in the country would always be remembered by the people of the country.
