Moyeen Khan for building new Bangladesh

DHAKA, Nov 11, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee Member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan today called for building a new Bangladesh following the path shown by the students community.

"Dictator Sheikh Hasina suppressed everyone for 15 years only through using the force of gun. The dictator was not only toppled by the mass uprising of students-people but also she fled like a coward. Now we will have to build new Bangladesh on the path shown by the students' community," he said.

Moyeen Khan was addressing the opening ceremony of providing financial assistance and rehabilitation programme for the injured of July-August Revolution at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital in the capital.

Calling upon the democracy-loving people to remain alert, he said, "We have to remember one thing that the allies of Awami League cannot be able to capture this government and they cannot be able to raise their heads."

Khan urged the freedom-loving students' community to remain alert and prevent any attempt of Awami League allies to raise their heads.

The BNP leader said the fall of fascism in the mass uprising is the first step of the movement and now the next step in the movement of establishing people's rights is to give the state power to the elected representatives of the people.

Moyeen Khan visited victims of eye injury of the July uprising at the hospital and enquired about their physical condition as well as provided financial assistance to them.
