Ferry on Aricha-Kazirhat resumed after four days

MANIKGANJ, Nov 11, 2024 (BSS) - Ferry movement on Aricha-Kazirhat route on the Jamuna River resumed after four days which remained suspended for poor navigability.
 
Sources in the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) said movement of all ferries were suspended for poor navigability.

All the five RoRo ferries remained stranded at Aricha Ghat and after the river route clearance this noon the ferry movement resumed.
 
BIWTC Aricha Ghat Manager Abu Abdullah said BSS this evening that about 25 vehicles including passenger buses and private cars and trucks were waiting at Arichaghat for crossing. More than two hundred passenger buses, private cars and trucks were waiting at Kazirhat for ferrying.
