DHAKA, Nov 15, 2024 (BSS) - Police on Thursday evening arrested a former
Member of Parliament (MP) from Barishal-3 (Babuganj-Muladi) constituency
Golam Kibria Tipu from the capital's South Keraniganj Thana area.

Locals first detained Tipu, also a former presidium member of Jatiya Party, from Bir
Baghair area of Konda Union in South Keraniganj and later handed him over to
police.

Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of South Keraniganj Police Station,
confirmed.

A legal action is underway against him, the OC added.
