DHAKA, Nov 15, 2024 (BSS) - The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 2,520 kilograms of smuggled Indian cumin seed from Ailatola border in Mymensingh this morning.

"Acting on a tip-off, a petrol team led by Nayeb Subadar Md Jamal Uddin of Ailatola border outpost conducted the anti-smuggling raid along the Bangladesh-India border and recovered the sacks full of Indian cumin seed," BGB Mymensingh Battalion Acting Commander Major MM Rashedul Islam said.

The estimated cost of the seized cumin seed is around Taka 30.25 lakh. Process to handover the seized cumin seed to Mymensingh customs office, is underway.
