GAZIPUR, Nov 15, 2024 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain urged everyone to come forward for establishing a democratic state through national unity.

"Everyone should come forward to establish a democratic state through national unity," he said before beginning a rally organized by Gazipur Mohanagar BNP in the district as the chief guest, marking the National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

Zahid said the way people put their trust in Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman on the day of November 7 (the National Revolution and Solidarity Day), they also want to put their faith in BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman after the August 5 period.

"If the people get a chance to vote freely, the symbol 'Sheaf of Paddy' will win," he added.

With Gazipur Metropolitan BNP president Shawkat Hossain Sarkar in the chair, the rally was also addressed, among others, by its general secretary Manjurul Karim Roni.

BNP National Executive Committee member valiant freedom fighter Hasan Uddin Sarkar and Dr Mazharul Alam also spoke.
