DHAKA, Nov 16, 2024 (BSS) - Former chief justice Mohammad Fazlul Karim died
of old-age complications at a city hospital in the early hours of today.

He was 81.

Fazlul Karim breathed his last at around 4:43 am at Bangladesh Specialized
Hospital while undergoing treatment there, Supreme Court sources said.

His namaz-e-janaza was held at the Supreme Court Inner Garden after Zuhr
prayers. The judicial activities of the Supreme Court will remain suspended
on Sunday.

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed in a message of condolence expressed profound
shock at the death of Justice Mohammad Fazlul Karim.
