Students should build their lives by practicing punctuality: BRUR VC

RANGPUR, Nov 17, 2024 (BSS) - Vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University,
Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali today advised fresh students to
build their lives by practicing punctuality from the very beginning of their
higher education.
 
"The new students can achieve success in their academic career through proper
evaluation of time and developing the habit of studying by attending classes
on time," he said.
 
The Vice-chancellor said this in separate orientation classes with the first-
year graduation (honours) students of the Departments of Physics and
Statistics for the academic year 2023-2024 at the university's Academic
Building-4 today.
 
Welcoming the new students to the campus, the Vice-chancellor said the
students should play an active role in building a positive image of Begum
Rokeya University.
 
He called on them to make BRUR the best university in North-Bengal through
knowledge pursuit and research.
 
"The present administration of the university has taken all kinds of
initiatives to make BRUR a student-friendly campus," he said.
 
Remembering Shaheed Abu Sayeed, the Vice-chancellor said that if the students
succeed through learning properly, the self-sacrifice of Shaheed Abu Sayeed
will be useful
 
He also sought divine blessings and forgiveness for the souls of all the
martyrs in the July-August student-people mass uprising in the country.
 
Professor of the Department of Physics of the university Dr Md Kamruzzaman,
Head of the Department of Statistics Dr Md Siddiqur Rahman, teachers and
fresh students of the two departments were present in the orientation
classes.
