DHAKA, Nov 20, 2024 (BSS) - Six people including five former ministers were shown arrested in separate cases filed with different police stations in the capital.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Imran Ahammed passed the orders, allowing separate pleas of the concerned investigation officers.
Of the six, former social welfare minister Dr Dipu Moni was shown arrested in a case filed over the killing of Jubo Dal leader Shamim with the capital's Paltan Police Station, while former information minister Hasanul Haque Inu and law minister Anisul Huq were shown arrested in Amir Hossain killing case filed with Uttara West Police Station.
Former shipping minister Shajahan Khan and his son former chairman of Madaripur Sadar upazila Asibur Rahman Khan were shown arrested in Badda's Rafikul Islam murder case. Former law minister Anisul Huq was also shown arrested in BNP activist Hasan Mahmud murder attempt case filed with the capital's Shahjahanpur Police Station.
The court also showed former state minister for industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder arrested in a case lodged over the murder of teenager Mizanur Rahman with the capital's Mirpur Model Police Station.
