DHAKA, Nov 20, 2024 (BSS)- Bangladesh Mahila Parishad today paid glowing tributes to its founding president poet Begum Sufia Kamal marking her 25th death anniversary.

Mohila Parishad placed floral wreath at her portrait at the organization’s Sufia Kamal Bhaban in city’s Shegunbagicha area.

On the occasion a memorial meeting was arranged with president of Mahila Parishad Dr. Fauzia Moslem in the chair.

Sultana Kamal and Saida Kamal daughters of Sufia Kamal, among others, were present.

Organization secretary of Mahila Parishad Umme Salma Begum conducted it.

Advocate and human rights activist Sultana Kamal said poet Begum Sufia Kamal had worked to establish human rights of women as she wanted to do establish women in the society.

Dr. Fauzia Moslem said the organization is working to imbue womenfolk with the ideal of Begum Sufia Kamal.
