RANGPUR, Nov 21, 2024 (BSS)- Vice Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Prof. Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali today stressed the need for ensuring quality in higher education.

“Earning a degree should not be the main purpose of a student. A student must acquire quality education to use his earned degree for country’s development,” he said.

Prof Shawkat was addressing a workshop organized by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on Professional Integrity for University Teachers at the academic building-2 of the university.

Director of University Prof. Dr. Md. Tazul Islam presided over the workshop while Director of the Daffodil International University Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Fazlul Haque was present as discussant

Additional director of IQAC Dr. Md. Abdul Latif conducted the workshop.

Prof. Shawkat Ali said relation among the teachers and students should not be out of fear but based on mutual respect and amity.
