KHULNA, Nov 23, 2024 (BSS) – Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University (KU) Prof. Dr Md Rezaul Karim sought everyone’s cooperation to make the KU vibrant.

“The KU authority will   play   a vital  role for sustainable development for the greater  interest of the society and the nation as well,” he made the remarks while exchanging views with the  journalists at the Journalist Liakat Ali Auditorium of the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Basu Building of KU today.

“Our research must play a role in country’s development as well as to face global challenges,” he said.

“The KU students must be skilled and competent keeping abreast with the latest knowledge”, VC said, adding that we want to ensure quality education.  
 The VC outlined various steps, taken to fulfil the desired vision of KU in terms of education, research, international collaboration and ranking, enhancement of skill, infrastructural development, administrative consolidation, and student-teachers responsiveness.

He also said that various committees have been formed to remove all discriminations.

He paid rich homage to all martyred   students including KU meritorious student Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho, across the country during quota reform and Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement and also prayed for their salvation of the departed souls.

KU Pro-VC Prof Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan addressed the meeting while the director of student affairs Prof Dr Md Nazmus Sadat conducted it.

KU Acting Registrar,  Prof Dr S M Mahbubur Rahaman, Deans of different faculties,     Heads of different Departments , Provosts, Directors and journalists of print, electronic and online media were present.
