LAKSHMIPUR, Nov 23, 2024 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee today said students and teachers are the main architect of new Bangladesh achieved through students-people uprising.

“The main challenge is now to establish a government of people for strengthening democracy. Ousted fascist Awami League has destroyed country’s democracy,” he said while addressing a rally organized by Bangladesh Madrasha General Teachers’ Association (BMGTA) at Sadar upazila auditorium here.

Anee said students and people have sacrificed their lives to reestablish the democracy.

He urged all to work unitedly to flourish democracy in the country.

Deputy commissioner Rajib Kumar Sarker, additional deputy commissioners JP Dewan and Samrat Khisha, local BNP district unit member secretary Sahabuddin Sabu, BMGTA central committee president Md Harun-or-Rashid and general secretary Firoz Alam, among others, addressed the rally with BMGTA district unit president Professor Mohammad Ali in the chair.
