DHAKA, Nov 26, 2024 (BSS) - The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today arrested an Indian national with 100 bottles of phensidyl from the Golabari area under the Sadar upazila of Cumilla border.
 
The arrested was identified as Mehdi Hasan, 18.
 
Commander of Cumilla Battalion (10 BGB) Lt Colonel Md Iftekhar Hossain said BGB personnel arrested Mehdi Hasan along with 100 bottles of phensidyl and one mobile phone from the Keraninagar area in Cumilla district this morning.
 
Mehdi, who is involved in smuggling, illegally entered Bangladesh's territory, he said.
 
The detainee was handed over to Cumilla Kotwali Model police station.
