DHAKA, Nov 28, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) on Wednesday night arrested two arms traders along with a firearm from Hatia in Noakhali district.

The arrestees have been identified as notorious arms dealer Osman Gani (55) and his associate Shahed (52).

Being tipped off, a team of the coast guard arrested the duo from Lohar Pul area adjacent to Tamruddi Bazar under Hatia Upazila of Noakhali district at 8pm on Wednesday, said a BCG press release.

They recovered one domestic firearm, one cartridge, four rocket flares and three mobile phones from them.

The arrestees were handed over to Hatia Police Station along with all the seized items.
