DHAKA, Nov 30, 2024 (BSS) – ‘Enigma Doel Television’, an OTT (Over-the-Top) medium, will officially start its journey on May 6 next year aiming to boost entertainment in the competitive global market.
The information was disclosed at a seminar titled 'Let's Talk’, held at Alliance Française de Dhaka in city's Dhanmondi area under the arrangement of Enigma TV, a press release said.
‘Enigma Doel OTT’ medium will organize its own programmes keeping in mind the thoughts and feelings of six crore students in 30,000 schools across the country, the release added.
The OTT medium has taken the initiative to produce and broadcast its programmes targeting people aged zero to 25.
Speaking at the seminar, Enigma TV Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Fahmidul Islam Shantonu said excessive commercialism has taken place in current OTT channels resulting in the creation of substandard programmes. For this reason, a negative perception about OTT is being created among people’s mindset, he added.
Enigma Doel OTT's marketing plan has been undertaken with an aim of producing quality, up-to-date and international programmes in this information technology era, he said.
Bangladesh Cinema and Television Institute (BCTI) students Rajib, Tanvir Al Hossain, Masrur Chowdhury and Farhana Akhtar, Ajkalerkhobor Staff Reporter Ahmed Tepantor and Bangladesh Pratidin Staff Reporter Mustafa Motihar were present, among others, on the occasion.
Enigma TV CEO also said that this OTT medium will promote local culture across the country, starting from the divisional level alongside the international arena.
