DHAKA, Dec 02, 2024 (BSS)- Posts and Telecommunications and Information Technology Adviser Md Nahid Islam today asked the ministry officials to take some effective projects that can be implemented during the interim government’s tenure and benefit all equally.
“Some effective projects should be taken up that can be implemented during the interim government's tenure. Instead of taking up big projects, small projects should be taken up so that everyone gets the benefits of the project in the same way”, he said.
Nahid, also advisor to the information and broadcasting ministry, made the directives while speaking as chief guest at the 24th meeting of Social Obligation Fund (SOF) management committee at the meeting room of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) here.
The meeting elaborately discussed the current status of all the ongoing projects under the Social obligatory Fund.
According to the provisions of the Social Obligatory Fund, 2021, this fund can be used to expand the facilities of telecommunications and ICT among the underprivileged people in terms of getting the facilities of telecommunication and ICT.
Secretary to the Posts and Telecommunication Department Dr Md Mushfiqur Rahman, BTRC Chairman Major General (retd) Md Emdad Ul Bari and various project directors were present in the meeting.
