DHAKA, Dec 4, 2024 (BSS) - Civil Aviation and Tourism Adviser A F Hassan Arif today urged more cooperation from Japan in further development of the country’s aviation sector in the future.
He made the call when Japanese Ambassador in Dhaka IWAMA Kiminori called on him at his secretariat office.
During the meeting, the adviser expressed heartfelt gratitude to Japan, a steadfast friend, for its continued support to Bangladesh.
He particularly acknowledged Japan’s contribution to the construction of the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The ambassador discussed the potential for enhancing tourism through improved air connectivity between Dhaka and Tokyo, as well as fostering cultural collaboration between the two countries.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Abdun Naser Khan and First Secretary of the Japanese Embassy KAWAI Hiroshi were also present during the meeting.
