Dhaka, Dec 4, 2024 (BSS) - Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul said political parties, in a meeting with Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, today announced to stand united on the issues concerning the country’s independence, sovereignty, existence and dignity.
“The political parties have differences in terms of political ideology, but they all spoke about unity on the question of the country”, he told journalists after a meeting between Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and political parties at the Foreign Service Academy here today.
Forgetting all disputes, the political parties agreed to work together in the country's crisis period in the meeting, participated by most of the country’s registered political parties, associated with student-people mass uprising, including Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
Asif Nazrul said, “We will remain firm against any kind of propaganda and provocation by New Delhi".
The adviser warned that India's interference in Bangladesh's internal affairs will not be tolerated at all. “The government will adopt no subservient policy to deal with the ongoing situation. The unity of political parties and common people will remain unwavering in future, ” he added.
