DHAKA, Dec 05, 2024 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ (We are BNP family), a cell of the party, has already gained wide popularity as a source of support for the people in distress.

“ ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ is a cell of BNP. This cell has already gained wide popularity as a source of support for the people who are in distress," he said.

Tarique Rahman, also the patron of the cell, came up with the remarks while answering a question during an question-answer session at Chattogram divisional workshop on '31 points for repairing the state structure and public engagement' at the Engineers Institution auditorium in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Explaining the reason for the formation of 'Amra BNP Paribar’, he said, “It was formed with the determination to stand by the victims of enforced disappearances and murders and martyrs and injured in the mass students-people mass upsurge in July against the government of the fascist Sheikh Hasina, who fled Bangladesh in the face of the mass uprising."
