DHAKA, Dec 5, 2024 (BSS) – Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman today inaugurated an academic building of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) at Baipayl, Savar. 

At the inauguration ceremony a smart contingent of cadets from the army, navy, and air force wings of the BNCC gave a guard of honour to General Waker-Uz-Zaman, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release this evening.

After unveiling the plaque, he planted a sapling at the BNCC Training Academy and participated in a special prayer for the welfare of the country. 

The army chief recalled the sacrifice of all martyrs of the great Liberation War and BNCC cadets as well as martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement. 

He highly appreciated the role of the BNCC at the social and national levels and congratulated them.
