RANGPUR, Dec 6, 2024 (BSS) - Rangpur district unit of Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Welfare Front (BHDCWF) held a protest rally on Thursday against Indian media propaganda against Bangladesh.
Earlier, leaders and activists of the organisation took out a protest procession from the Grand Hotel Mour in the city.
After parading the city streets, the protest procession ended at the Grand Hotel Mour where the protest rally was held.
President of the Rangpur district unit of BHDCWF Uttam Kumar Saha presided over the protest rally, moderated by its General Secretary Shree Biplob Biswas.
Convener of Rangpur district BNP Md Saiful Islam, its Member-secretary Anisur Rahman Laku, district Jubo Dal President Nazmul Alam Naju, district BNP Member Harun Or Rashid, Rangpur Divisional Assistant Organizing Secretary of BHDCWF Debashish Das and Zia Manch Rangpur divisional Organizing Secretary Moen Uddin addressed the protest rally.
The speakers strongly protested the attack, vandalism and desecration of the national flag at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala of India.
Uttam Kumar Saha said there is no conflict with people of any religion, including Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and indigenous people in Bangladesh.
"We are all brothers and sisters. If there is any anti-national conspiracy in the future, the people of Bangladesh irrespective of caste, creed and religion will launch a strong movement," he added.
