NOAKHALI, Dec 06, 2024 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) vice-chairman M Shahjahan today said there will be no room for extortionists and looters in BNP.

"There will be no place for extortionists and looters in BNP. The party will not spare anyone who commits injustice, no matter how big the leader is," he said.

He came up with the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a winter-cloth distribution programme, held at Kaladarap union of Noakhali sadar upazila in the district. Social organization 'Bangladesh Jubo Oikya Foundation' organized the event.

Quoting BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, the BNP leader said, "The upcoming elections will be very difficult. So, all have to move forward by winning the hearts of the people. You should not do anything that can make the people unhappy."

He urged BNP men to work together for the betterment of the country considering the satisfaction of the people.

With BNP Ward No-6 unit of Kaladrap Union President Abul Kalam in the chair, the programme was addressed, among others, by District BNP General Secretary Advocate Abdur Rahman, former General Secretary Mahbub Alamgir Alo, Sadar Upazila BNP President Salim Ullah Bahar Hiron, General Secretary Jasim, Chhatra Dal leader Azgar Uddin Dukhu and former Char Jabbar Union Chairman Abdullah Miah.
