DHAKA, Dec 7, 2024 (BSS)- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed today accused India of making efforts to confuse the world about Bangladesh’s religious harmony by spreading falsehood and propaganda.

But in the current context, India cannot be successful due to advanced technology that debunks their fabricated information, he told reporters during a visit to National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery at Chankharpool area to enquire about the treatment of July uprising injured persons.

During the visit, he conveyed message of sympathy to the injured people on behalf of the party’s acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, also chief patron of Amra BNP Paribar’.

The BNP leader blamed India for shedding crocodile tears for ousted dictator Sheikh Hasina saying some politicians, policymakers and many of so-called civil society members of are shedding crocodile tears for the fascist who fled the country amid a mass uprising.”

Rizvi said India is trying to confuse the world by making a smear campaign that houses of Hindus are being torched and Hindus are being burnt to death.

“We know India is a democratic state where constitutional continuity is maintained and we know India is an abode of many wise and talented people. They should know what should be the bahaviour to a friendly neighbor,” he said.

‘Amra BNP Paribar’ adviser Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon, member secretary Agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun, members Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, Shakil Ahmed, Farhad Ali Sajeeb, Rubel Amin and Shahadat Hossain were present on the occasion.

Central leaders of BNP, Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and front organizations were also present.
