DHAKA, Dec 8, 2024 (BSS) - President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) Ashraf Ahmed and members of the Board of Directors have expressed deep condolence at the death of Afsarul Arifeen, Secretary General of DCCI.
Arifeen breathed his last on December 6 at the Islami Bank Hospital, Kakrail, and Dhaka due to massive heart attack. He died at the age of 56.
Arifeen was the Secretary General of DCCI in 2020. Previously, he was working at the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI) as the Additional Secretary for nearly three decades.
He had a vast experience of working especially in trade organizations related issues. He left behind his wife, two sons and a large number of well-wishers to mourn his death.
In a message of condolence, the DCCI President and members of the board of directors prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
The Namaz-e-Janazah of Afsarul Arifeen will be held on December 10, (Tuesday) at 10:30 am at the Mohammedan Sporting Club premises, Motijheel Commercial Area, Dhaka.
He will be buried at Jannatul Mawa graveyard, Mirpur 11, Dhaka.
